If you notice a friend is going through a hard time, or your gut is telling you that something is wrong: it’s okay to take the first step and offer help. If you hear a friend making jokes about dying, or if their mood has changed, or if they just don’t seem like themselves: Try these 3 steps:
1. Be Brave: Ask directly if they are thinking about Suicide
2. Be Kind: Listen without judgement and withhold advice (this is the part where you let them know you care a whole lot about them)
3. Get Help: Find a trustworthy adult, or check out resources on this app to get the right help at the right time.
